School Uniforms and Kids Clothing Fashions Introduced For Spring 2018

With spring in full swing, Cookie’s Kids Department Stores Keeps Focus on New School Uniforms and Kids Fashions for Boys and Girls While Specializing in Children and Baby Clothes.

New York, United States - April 7, 2018 /PressCable/ —

School uniforms department store, Cookie’s Kids, has become one of the world’s largest kids department store chains featuring everything from premium school uniforms and kids fashion brands to baby clothing along with accessories for children of all ages, and has also been branded the number one school uniform headquarters in the United States by Crain’s Magazine.

With spring in full swing, the clothing outlet chain is keeping the focus on new fashions for both boys and girls while continuing to specialize in premium uniforms trending this season.

“When we hear the word ‘uniform,’ our minds often go straight to blue or white business shirts, plaid pleated skirts or a classic polo with a logo,” says Al Falack, one of the sons of the original founders of Cookie’s Department Store, Inc. “But as times have changed, so have school clothing protocols, and we always ensure to keep our uniform selections fresh, forward and spot-on. The uniform that, from the first day, looks smart tends to remain smart all year while reflecting the school’s identity; simultaneously, uniforms need to be comfortable and durable while reflecting the values of the institution.

“From skirts for girls and trousers for boys to blazer and tie combos that are bringing the formal uniform back into fashion, Cookie’s has the styles that fit on a plethora of body shapes and that are made from the best possible materials that last.”

According to Cookie’s representatives that study fashion-forward trends in the school uniform market, the classic blazer-and-tie duo is experiencing something of a revival in the school uniform genre, with many secondary schools choosing to make over their styles with ties and color-contrasting blazer trims to compliment the school’s vibe. Moreover, the resurgence of patterned and tartan knits for girls, Cookie’s has found, offers a stylish alternative for both secondary and primary institutions.

Sportswear is also definitely beginning to move with the times, according to Cookie’s reps, with cutting-edge layered garments in technical performance fabrics replacing the plain t-shirts and shorts combo. There’s also greater choices for girls’ uniform pieces with modest leggings and more comfortable skorts to encourage young ladies to feel “more confident in their sports gear.”

In addition to a plethora of high-quality girls clothes, boys clothes and school uniforms, Cookie’s also offers baby clothes and even shoes and accessories.

Sanders seeks to avoid another stumble with black SC voters

Jan 23, 2019

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Even before he announces whether he's a 2020 presidential candidate, Sen. Bernie Sanders is working to avoid the drubbing that South Carolina's African-American voters handed him in 2016. A day after speaking at a Martin Luther King Jr. Day rally in the state capital on Monday, Sanders stayed through Tuesday for three more events in which African-American audiences were receptive to a message that hewed largely to his 2016 Democratic presidential platform. But the Vermont independent got personal even as he pitched free college tuition and a higher minimum wage, recounting repeatedly that he joined King's 1963...

A nearly 100-mile (161-kilometer) section of Interstate 25 from Pueblo to the New Mexico border remains closed because of blowing snow. Confederate flag from S. Carolina Statehouse put on display

Jan 23, 2019

COLUMBIA, S.C. — The last Confederate flag to fly at the South Carolina Statehouse has quietly been put on display at a museum, ending a three-year saga over what to do with the rebel banner, which was removed after nine black church members were killed in a racist attack on a Charleston church. On Nov. 26, Confederate Relic Room staff put the nylon flag into a $1,400 viewing case that hangs between two offices amid a display of other historical South Carolina flags, museum Executive Director Allen Roberson said after a budget presentation to lawmakers on Tuesday. "I'm sure we...

Coroner: Couple intoxicated during fatal Yosemite fall

Jan 23, 2019

SAN FRANCISCO — A young couple from India who wrote a travel blog were intoxicated when they died in a fall from a scenic overlook in Yosemite National Park in California, according to an autopsy report released Tuesday. Menakshi Moorthy, 30, and her husband Vishnu Viswanath, 29, each had intoxicating levels of ethyl alcohol, a substance found in most alcoholic drinks, the Mariposa County coroner said. The report didn't provide a blood-alcohol ratio. Viswanarth's tripod was later discovered on the edge of the overlook. His brother, Jishnu Viswanath said it appeared the couple died trying to take a photo. Moorthy...

Questions remain around doctors for incapacitated woman

Jan 23, 2019

PHOENIX — It remained unclear Tuesday if two doctors who cared for an incapacitated Arizona woman who gave birth as a result of a sexual assault could face any criminal fallout. "Unfortunately, I don't have any details on the doctors," Phoenix police spokesman Tommy Thompson said in an email. He would not say if they were being investigated as part of the case. Hacienda HealthCare announced Sunday that neither physician would continue to provide care at their Phoenix facility, which serves children and young adults. One resigned and the other has been suspended. The 29-year-old victim, who has been incapacitated...
