Spiritual Leader Publishes Workbook for Bible Study

Aberdeen, United States - January 12, 2018 /NewsNetwork/ —

Michael Dorsey spiritual growth leader and owner of Malakim Press is offering his workbook on how to study the bible. Michael a 20 year veteran to spiritual studies started writing books several years ago. Michael says “The workbook is meant to be a study guide for the Bible. There’s no reason you can’t become a skilled Bible student in your own right. Just take the exercises revealed in this workbook and apply them to the parts of the Bible that interest you the most. Once you start becoming proficient at Bible study, God will bless your determination with fresh insights and revelation from the treasures of His Word.”

Rev. Michael Dorsey recalls that as a young boy in Sunday School, they would sometimes compete in a game called Sword Drills. This game taught children how to find their way around the Bible quickly. This game became the inspiration for the title of this workbook. Rev. Michael Dorsey continued saying that “The book began as part of a 4-week course I taught at Riverside Church in the summer of 2013.”

Reverend Dorsey recalls that the original course covered information about the Bible, Bible study tools, and Bible study methods. That material is all included in the book How To Study Your Bible. The students also did hands-on exercises during the class to learn the various different Bible study methods. Those exercises have been expanded to create the Sword Drills workbook.

How to Study the Bible Workbook Workbook will answer all of the questions about the meaning of Bible verses, and what they are meant to teach you through Verse studies. Also how to read the Bible daily consistently with a unique plan to read the Bible through every year. And how to gain an overview of Bible books as well as the entire Bible through survey studies.

Hawaii volcano boat tours continue after lava injuries

Jul 17, 2018

HONOLULU — Hawaii tour boat operators plan to continue taking visitors to see lava, but will follow the Coast Guard's revised policy and stay farther away after an explosion caused molten rock to barrel through the roof of a vessel, injuring 23 people. The Coast Guard prohibits vessels from getting closer than 984 feet (300 meters) from where Kilauea volcano's lava oozes into the sea. The agency had been allowing experienced boat operators to apply for a special license to get closer up to 164 feet (50 meters), but it stopped allowing those exceptions Monday morning. A woman in her...

Stranded woman drank water from moss after California crash

Jul 17, 2018

LOS ANGELES — A self-described beachcomber says it was her luckiest find yet: A woman who survived a 250-foot car plunge off a cliff and a week stranded on a remote California beach. "We freakin' love that beach and we're so glad she's alive," Chelsea Moore said Monday as she described the afternoon last Friday when she and her husband found 23-year-old Angela Hernandez of Portland. Hernandez had been driving to her sister's home in Lancaster, near Los Angeles, on July 6 when a small animal crossed in front of her, causing her to swerve and lose control of her...

Amazon's hopes its Prime Day doesn't go to the dogs

Jul 17, 2018

NEW YORK — Amazon is hoping customers don't see any more dogs, after early problems on Prime Day meant people trying to shop got only images of the cute canines delivering an apologetic message. Amazon's website ran into some early snags Monday on its much-hyped Prime Day, an embarrassment for the tech company on the shopping holiday it created. Shoppers clicking on many Prime Day links after the 3 p.m. ET launch in the U.S. got only images of dogs — some quite abashed-looking — with the words, "Uh-oh. Something went wrong on our end." People took to social media...

Lava crashes through roof of Hawaii tour boat, injuring 23

Jul 17, 2018

HONOLULU — An explosion caused by lava oozing into the ocean sent molten rock crashing through the roof of a sightseeing boat off Hawaii's Big Island, injuring 23 people Monday, officials said. They were aboard a tour boat that takes visitors to see lava plunging into the ocean from the long-erupting Kilauea volcano that has been vigorously shooting lava from a new vent in the ground for the past two months. The U.S. Geological Survey says explosions of varying sizes happen whenever 2,000-degree (1,093-degree Celsius) lava enters much colder seawater. Some of those explosions can be so tiny they are...
