Antwann Richardson Launches Back 9 Capital Group for Real Estate Investment and Financial Education

Oct 12, 2026

Antwann Richardson, entrepreneur and investor, is rebuilding his business legacy through Back 9 Capital Group, a real estate investment and advisory platform focused on financial education, community impact, and long-term wealth creation.

Columbus, United States, October 12, 2026 -- Columbus, Mississippi — October 11, 2026 — Antwann Richardson has launched Back 9 Capital Group, a real estate investment, capital, and advisory platform that provides investment funds, business advisory services, and financial education, the company said this week.

The company said its offerings include ACCESS, Round Table, Investor's Corner, and Advisory. Its investment work includes Fund Alpha, a real estate investment fund focused on housing and community-related opportunities. The Back 9 ACCESS framework covers Awareness, Capital, Connections, Education, Strategy, and Significance.

Richardson's career includes banking, finance, executive leadership, and business ownership. During his banking career, he managed approximately $75 million in deposits and $30 million in loans, according to the company. He later held leadership and ownership roles, including president, chief financial officer, and owner. The company said he helped lead an organization from less than $1 million to more than $40 million in annual revenue.

In April 2024, a federal jury acquitted Richardson on all 17 counts following a federal prosecution. Richardson has said he believes the prosecution was politically motivated and that its effects extended beyond him, harming businesses, affecting livelihoods and relationships, and damaging his reputation. After the acquittal, Richardson said he acquired multiple businesses and rebuilt a real estate portfolio.

Richardson said his Christian faith and family support helped him move forward. He said the experience shaped the approach behind Back 9 Capital Group, which emphasizes financial management, systems, teams, and decision-making.

The company's philosophy is "Make Your Back 9 Your Best 9," a golf-inspired idea that people can learn from the past, adjust their approach, and work toward a stronger finish. Richardson, a husband and father, said he views financial success in terms of freedom, family choices, and opportunities for future generations as well as money and assets.

Back 9 Capital Group said it connects capital with real estate opportunities and provides financial education to help individuals and communities make informed decisions. The company did not disclose the size of Fund Alpha or the number of investors.
