Anaheim, United States, October 7, 2026 /PressCable/ -- ANAHEIM, Calif. — Caterina’s Club raised $653,000 during its annual gala, drawing 398 supporters for an evening dedicated to helping children and families in need throughout Southern California. The black-tie event was held at the Highway 39 Event Center in Anaheim.
Founded by Huntington Beach resident Sir Bruno Serato and named in honor of his mother, Caterina, the nonprofit provides warm meals to children, assists families in securing permanent housing and helps at-risk youth prepare for careers in the hospitality industry.
Among the evening’s highlights was a performance by Chloe DiPenta, daughter of former professional hockey player and Caterina's Club supporter Joe DiPenta. A student at the Orange County School of the Arts, Chloe performed two songs and received a standing ovation from enthusiastic attendees.
The evening also honored Michael Hunn, Sue and Michael Cassidy, Simin Hashemizadeh and Bobbie Stovall for their contributions to the community and their support of Caterina’s Club. Stovall was presented with the organization’s Lifetime Achievement Award. According to Serato, each of the award recipients has demonstrated a consistent, heartfelt and loyal dedication to those served by the nonprofit including children, families and at-risk youth.
“This was an extraordinary evening and an overwhelming show of generosity,” said Serato. “Every dollar raised allows us to continue feeding children, helping families find stable housing and creating opportunities for young people who deserve a brighter future. I am deeply grateful to everyone who joined us and supported our mission.”
The gala brought together longtime supporters, community leaders, philanthropists and friends of Caterina’s Club for an evening of celebration while raising critical funds for the nonprofit’s programs.
Caterina’s Club was founded in 2005 by Serato and today serves more than 20,000 warm, nutritious meals each week to children in need, helps struggling families move into permanent housing and provides job training to at-risk youth seeking careers in the hospitality industry. For more than 20 years, Michel Reybier Hospitality has been rethinking luxury. Far from showiness and ostentation, its approach rests on three values: excellence, authenticity and simplicity. Across its portfolio, from city addresses in Paris, Geneva and Zurich to grand hotels in the Swiss Alps, villas on the French Riviera and private homes in the Indian Ocean, each address is shaped by its destination, with quality always taking precedence over quantity and service tailored to each guest. Its idea of luxury is personal, built on a profound respect for privacy and intimacy and on the discreet, attentive presence of its teams. Each destination keeps its own identity while sharing the same values.

After artist Oscar Chan Yik-long left Hong Kong for Europe – first to Paris, then Helsinki – in 2019, he did not return to the city for many years. Widely considered one of Hong Kong’s most promising young talents, Chan even missed his 2021 solo exhibition – a display of the gothic, monochrome works he is best known for – at Gallery Exit in Aberdeen, Hong Kong, because he could not bring himself to board a long-haul flight. What kept him away was fear. At the time, Chan was suffering from severe...

The recent American midterm elections offered yet another glimpse into a political culture increasingly defined by division and hostility. In the state of Ohio, Republican gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy ran an attack advertisement against his Democratic rival, Amy Acton, exploiting painful details of her childhood. President Donald Trump publicly defended the advertisement. The episode was emblematic of a country where political conflict has come to reflect something far more profound...
Some time in the last decade the bathroom shelf turned into a filing system. A cleanser for the morning and a different one for the evening; an acid on Tuesday, a retinol on Wednesday – and a barrier cream for the two nights afterwards, while your face recovers from the first two. But at some point, people started getting tired. Not of skincare exactly, but more of the admin: the cross-referencing, the percentages; the low-grade sense that there’s a step you’ve missed and a launch you haven’t...
For 42-year-old Allison Vecchio, GLP-1 drugs were “a reset button on life”, but came at a price – with side effects like gastrointestinal distress, brittle nails and feelings of weakness so intense that at times she could not leave her bed. But Vecchio, an emergency room nurse based in Fort Pierce, in the US state of Florida, says the symptoms eased when she began a cocktail of supplements that included fibre, collagen and electrolytes, a haul that costs US$200 to US$300 a month. “You really...
