The new service intends to educate small business owners on ERTC and how it applies to each case. The firm establishes that many SMBs are neglecting to receive this rebate believing it was only available for 2020.
LP Consulting’s expert accounting team explains that two business assistance programs came into law in March 2020. These were integrated into the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and designed to help with worker retention. Of the two programs, either the Payroll Protection Program (PPP) or the ERTC could be selected, but not both. Most companies chose the PPP loan.
A new law in March 2021 removed that restriction, and businesses that received funds through the PPP can now also be recipients of the Employee Retention Tax Credit. The ERTC is a refund granted by the IRS, and not a loan.
According to LP Consulting, any business that had between 5 and 500 W-2 employees during the pandemic and was affected by it is eligible for the refund. This includes startups founded during the pandemic and non-profit organizations. Companies may receive up to $26,000 per employee in rebates, with no repayment required.

By completing a brief, no-obligation questionnaire, business owners can quickly determine if they are eligible for the program. They will then be contacted by LP Consulting, who will help them prepare the claim package to ensure the maximum rebates they are eligible for.
