Does Industrial Material Experience Really Matter

During that time, thousands of clients have called and asked thousands of unique questions about these plastic materials and which material is applicable for specific applications.
Providing the correct answer to a client question is critical, and using a wrong material for an application can be very costly and potentially dangerous. With over 80 common plastic sheet, rod and tube base materials, recommending the proper materials can be rather involved, and may require several questions about specific application and the environment the plastic will be used. Common applications that are discussed include: Food Processing, Aerospace, Energy, Medical, Machining, Marine, Material Handling and Chemical. 
Each material has a unique set of physical, chemical and environmental properties, and using best practices to ensure that the best and most appropriate material to fit the client needs is essential. Unfortunately, the best material for an application isn’t always the cheapest. Many clients think of plastic as a cheap material, and many plastics are very inexpensive in relation to other substrates. But some of the high-end Performance Plastic can be very expensive, but are very cost effective in comparison to other materials that may work for the application.
Industrial Plastic Supply continues to focus on these essentials, and therefore has used multiple tools to educate and support the customer support staff. Hiring and retaining the highest quality customer service personnel has been a focus for the last 45 years, and will continue into the future.
The current Customer Service team includes 15 members, with an average of 22.6 years of experience in the industry. In addition, each member has been certified by the IAPD – International Association of Plastic Distribution, for going through and passing a detailed training in plastic materials and applications.
Industrial Plastic Supply didn’t stop at certifying the Customer Service team, they also invested heavily into Quality Control processes. For over 5 years, Industrial Plastic has been ISO certified, and is currently ISO 9001:2015 certified. In addition, full lot and batch traceability and factory certifications are available on all Performance Plastic in stock, and for any special order.
