December 20, 2019 - /PressAdvantage/ - The Implant & Oral Surgery of Colorado has announced that oral surgeon Dr. Eric Lomas has now joined Dr. Timothy Bandrowsky at IOSC’s practice. Dr. Lomas is a Colorado native and was raised in Littleton. After completing his undergraduate degree in 2010 at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, he went on to earn his D.D.S. from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 2014.
Dr. Lomas then went on to finish an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Long Beach, California in 2015. After this, he and his wife relocated to Memphis, Tennessee where he spent four years completing a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Dr. Lomas is thrilled to return to his roots in Colorado and to join IOSC to serve the local community as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.
The Implant & Oral Surgery of Colorado specializes in patients experiencing a variety of teeth, jaw, and dental-facial problems. IOSC is skilled at diagnosing and treating facial pain, dental injuries, jaw fractures, and other problems, with advanced oral surgery. It is a fact that most people do not like going to the dentist. For many that dislike manifests as fear and for some that fear can be overwhelming. A technique known as sedation dentistry can help relieve much of their anxiety.
Steven C. said, “I'm one of those dentalphobes that avoids the Dentist at all costs... to my own detriment. Had to have 3 Extractions this morning and was pretty nervous but Dr. B and Rosalba were awesome, made me feel super comfortable and I was in/out in 30 minutes. I hope I never have to come back... but if I do, I won't be anywhere near as nervous as I was this time. Thanks for a great experience!"
There are several sedation options offered at IOSC and a patient’s doctor will be happy to discuss the type of anesthesia that will be administered and address any concerns a patient has at the time of consultation. IOSC’s first priority is the patient’s comfort and safety. Most patients requiring simple oral surgery, such as minor soft tissue procedures and simple tooth extractions, will have a local anesthetic, such as lidocaine, administered. They will remain awake and aware during the procedure.
For patients who have a high level of anxiety, or those having more complicated procedures such as wisdom teeth extractions, the surgeon may opt for IV sedation. This option involves medications such as Fentanyl, Versed, Diprivan, or Ketamine, being administered through an intravenous line. With this technique the patient falls asleep and is completely unaware of the procedure. IV procedures take place at IOSC’s offices and all oral surgeons using this technique will be state-certified to perform general anesthesia and the license they receive has to be renewed every two years.
Implant & Oral Surgery of Colorado has been proudly serving Castle Rock, Colorado Springs and neighboring communities for more than sixteen years. The practice is devoted to patient comfort and high-quality care and prides itself on taking a very personal approach to caring for patients.
Erin S, an IOSC patient, said, “Dr. Bandrowsky and his staff are just wonderful. It's nice to find somewhere so efficient and such a nice surgeon. I had oral surgery in his office just yesterday. From the initial appointment to the surgery itself in his office to the follow up call the next morning, I can't imagine there's a better experience out there. I would write a longer review, but they all made it so quick and painless that there is thankfully nothing else to write. Thank you all so much!"
Dr. Lomas and Dr. Bandrowsky have over 22 years of experience between them. Those needing the services of an oral surgeon Colorado Springs can be assured that using state of the art technology and innovative techniques they aim to provide the best oral surgery and personalized care for any and all patients referred to them.

I spent a week in Warsaw and ate more pierogi than I could shake a stick at. These beloved traditional Polish dumplings come filled with potatoes, cheese, meat, mushrooms and even fruit. Boiled or fried, they may look familiar to anyone acquainted with jiaozi, the Chinese dumpling, although their flavours are distinctly Polish. This is not to suggest that dumplings travelled directly from China to Poland. One theory posits that dumpling-like foods – from Nepalese momo and Central Asian and...
This year marks the 20th anniversary of Marie Antoinette, director Sofia Coppola’s third film. The film’s enduring legacy lies in its ability to present historical narrative in a modern, vibrant way....
