Veins on the hand grow more prominent with age. This is caused by a loss of fat on the back of the hand. The veins have always been there, but with age, they become far more noticeable. For many years, women seeking treatment for hand veins were told they had no options. Today, hand rejuvenation, one available process, relies on injecting fillers into the back of the hand. This has the effect of filling for lost fat and making veins less visible, but its effects are not long-lasting. Not all patients can tolerate it, either.
Sclerotherapy, another alternative, requires injections into hand veins to make them smaller might. This involves multiple office visits and multiple injections.
