Evolved Living states that their reusable bags are BPA free and made from PEVA (or polyethylene vinyl acetate), making them durable and safe to store food in. They are designed to fulfil a variety of purposes, such as sandwich bags, snack bags, food storage bags, freezer bags, marinade bags or general organization bags. They can be airtight and leakproof when sealed with their double zipper closure mechanism, and placed in the fridge and freezer without a problem. Though the company does warn that the bags are not suitable to place in the microwave or dishwasher. They should also not be used to carry hot contents, such as freshly cooked food.
The modern print and delightful color scheme that their reusable bags feature make them a fine solution for all situations, including carrying a child's or adult's lunch for school or work. Brown makes special note of the convenience that these reusable bags offer, as she says, "While reusable bags may not be the first solution that comes to mind when you think of something for your child to carry their snacks in, there are few better options. Our bags are affordable and a more practical solution to fabric bags, and more environmentally friendly compared to single-use zipped plastic bags. They are also more compact and lightweight compared to other lunch-box solutions. Even if it is just used for carrying snacks, fruits, sandwiches, or similar food, this is definitely an option worth considering."
The reusable food storage bags are only the first round of products from the Evolved Living initiative.
