Grey Lynn, Auckland Invisalign Clear Aligner: Orthodontic Treatments Updated

Dec 22, 2023

Grey Lynn, Auckland—All Smiles Dental—(800) 255-764—has announced its updated range of orthodontic treatments, offering Invisalign clear aligners to patients looking to straighten their teeth discreetly.

Mount Eden, New Zealand - December 22, 2023 /NewsNetwork/ —

Suitable for adults and young patients alike, All Smiles Dental’s Invisalign treatment provides an effective alternative to metal braces. Discreet and designed for comfort, the procedure can correct a range of mild-to-moderate orthodontic conditions, including bite and alignment issues.

According to Align Technology, the company behind Invisalign, over 15 million people have improved their smiles since the clear aligner was introduced. With its update, All Smiles Dental is making this treatment even more accessible to patients in and around the Grey Lynn area of Auckland.

Unlike regular braces that use wires, brackets, and bands to straighten teeth, the Invisalign system gradually positions teeth into the desired position using tight-fitting yet comfortable plastic trays. These trays, as All Smiles Dental founder Dr. Krystal Tarak explains, are removable, transparent, and come as a series, with each set mapping a specific phase of the treatment plan. Each set is worn for at least two weeks before being replaced with another set until the treatment is complete.

Though Invisalign offers greater flexibility since it can be removed easily, Dr. Tarak recommends that patients wear their clear aligners for 22 hours every day for the best results, unless eating, drinking, flossing, or brushing. Depending on the severity of the misalignment, Invisalign treatment can take as little as 6 months to be completed, unlike metal braces that have longer timelines.

While Dr. Tarak and her team have recorded many successes treating patients with Invisalign, she notes that the procedure may not be the right option for everyone, especially those with severe malocclusion or who are unable to commit to wearing the removable aligner for an extended period. In such cases, she may recommend metal braces or a hybrid solution.

Besides Invisalign, the practice offers other clear aligner treatments, like Fastbraces, Myobraces, ClearCorrect aligners, and Inman aligners, providing patients with several options to meet their orthodontic needs.

"I'm so glad I got my Invisalign braces done with All Smiles Dental. The girls made me feel welcomed and at ease right away,” a satisfied patient said. “Whenever I had a small part that needed to be fixed or amended, they were quick to accommodate me. Super happy with the results and how my teeth look."
