New York City, New York May 18, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - Dr. Cahill is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and a fellowship-trained sports medicine and reconstruction specialist. His award-winning private practice, Cahill Orthopedic Sports Medicine and Joint Replacement are proudly affiliated with Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, New Jersey.
Stressing an individual and personalized approach to patient care, Dr. Cahill specializes in the treatment of a variety of orthopedic conditions and performs several orthopedic procedures including: arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, knee, elbow, and ankle; ACL reconstruction; hip, knee, and shoulder joint replacement; adult and pediatric sports medicine; cartilage repair and restoration; and trauma.
"My initial approach to most injuries is a non-operative attempt to avoid surgery when possible. When surgical treatment is necessary, current reconstructive techniques can return patients to a full level of activity. Over the past five years, surgical techniques have advanced considerably. We are able to achieve excellent levels of success in patient satisfaction. We are also much better at controlling the discomfort often associated with surgical treatment specifically, joint replacement surgery" expressed the doctor.
In practice for over twenty years, he is a senior attending physician and one of the founding members of the Center for Joint Replacement at Hackensack Medical Center. He is also affiliated with Holy Name Hospital and Valley Hospital.
Pertaining to his educational background, Dr. Cahill graduated with his undergraduate degree from The Johns Hopkins University. He then went on to earn his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Furthering his training, he performed his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at Montefiore Medical Center. He followed this up with fellowships in sports medicine and pediatric orthopedics at The Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthopedic Institute in New York.
Utilizing science and technology, he is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.
In good standing with a number of professional organizations, Dr. Cahill is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the New Jersey Orthopedic Association, the Bergen County Medical Society, and the American Orthopedic Society of Sports Medicine.
Additionally, he is certified in Robotic Surgery for Joint Replacements (MAKO), and in Autologous Chondrocyte Implantation for Cartilage Repair.
Orthopedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic surgeons use both surgical and non-surgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.

Rather than reserving exercise for a long session, the approach breaks activity into short bouts: a brisk climb up stairs, a few squats between meetings or an interval session squeezed into a lunch break. Charles Pellegrin is pleased to welcome Hannah Storey, Head of Children and Young People’s Digital Rights at Amnesty International. Digital spaces can provide even young people with community, self-expression, education and opportunities for activism. The deeper problem, she warns, lies in the architecture of the platforms themselves: the algorithms, infinite scrolling and other engagement mechanisms that can repeatedly amplify harmful material, stir up negative emotions and incite troubling behaviours - all to bolster a business model built around attention, emotions, addition, data and advertising.
