From 1983 to 2000, Dr. Imbriglia served as the Director of the Hand Fellowship Program at Allegheny General Hospital. Since 2001, he has held the role of Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where he also serves as the Director of the Hand and Upper Extremity Fellowship Program.
In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Imbriglia is a valued member of the medical staff at UPMC Passavant/Cranberry, UPMC Presbyterian/Shadyside, UPMC St. Margaret, and Western PA Surgery Center - Wexford, where he continues to provide exceptional care to patients.
Orthopedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic surgeons use both surgical and non-surgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.
In 1993, Dr. Imbriglia assumed the role of Associate Editor for the Journal of Hand Surgery. Additionally, Dr. Imbriglia has been featured multiple times in the prestigious Best Doctors in America publications.
