Implementing design tricks throughout a home can be done to avoid making a ceiling feel lower. An easy way to decorate the space where the wall meets the ceiling is by using crown molding and crown molding corner blocks. Homeowners have used crown molding for decades as it quickly adds visual height to the overall look of a room.
Blumer & Stanton is a company that has been in business for over 70 years and specializes in custom quality woodwork. Their M-205 Poplar crown molding wallpaper border is designed to add height to a room, and give a rich transition from wall to celling.
Blumer & Stanton’s M-205 Poplar Crown Moulding is a large crown profile suitable for installation alone or with other pieces as part of a combination moulding. The mid-section relief provides a defined, stepped transition between the cove at the bottom and the subtle S-curve at the top. This creates the appearance of a multi-piece combination moulding due to this prominent break between its features.
Measuring at ¾” x 5-1/8”, Blumer & Stanton’s M-205 Poplar Crown Moulding is perfect for people needing to add visual height in a room of 8 feet or more. The drop on Blumer & Stanton’s M-205 Poplar Crown Moulding measures 3 7/8”, and has a projection of 3 5/16”.
A company spokesperson for Blumer & Stanton adds, “The M-205 Poplar Crown Moulding is designed to save a person time and energy as it avoids the frustration of installing a multi-piece combination molding. Milled from poplar, it’s perfect for a paint finish and recommended for indoor applications. They are sold and shipped in 8’-0” lengths and are easy to handle and install.”
While many people commonly think crown moulding is only used for living rooms, bedrooms, and dining rooms, crown moulding is a quick fix for adding visual height in home offices, half-bathrooms, kitchens, and widely used around door and window frames. For people trying to avoid making their ceilings feel low, Blumer & Stanton’s M-205 Poplar Crown Molding will help to draw the eye up for those trying to achieve the look of having higher ceilings.
