Miami Mobile Barber Makes Haircuts Safer During Pandemic

Dade-County Mobile Barber Brian Holguin Adopts Technology to Protect His Clients and Serve His Community in a Safer and Stress-free environment...their homes!

MIAMI, USA - August 5, 2020 /MarketersMedia/ —

When the pandemic hit and the country shut down, many of our everyday services and systems we use daily like barbershops and hair salons were suddenly unavailable. Almost a million barbers and hairstylists were unexpectedly found without work leaving them, their families, and their futures in a sea of uncertainty.

Brian Holguin, a licensed barber in Miami witnessed what was taking place and refused to stop providing for his family out of fear or worse, operate outside of the state and county CDC guidelines. His choice was to immediately act in integrity. He partnered with a national business mentor and developed the COVID-19 Mobile Barber System to protect his customers, his family and ultimately himself.

Holguin took his state COVID-19 safe barber training the same day the CDC released it. Immediately, he started to research and focus on the steps he needed to implement so he could properly provide safety up to and surpassing the CDC guidelines.

His due diligence and tenacity has allowed him to service all his loyal customers including essential workers, attorneys who need to appear on zoom calls and even officers of the law in their own homes. He is the first COVID-19 ready “Miami Mobile Barber”.

A few of those safety steps for a mobile barber include the following:

• Pre-Service COVID-19 waiver sent via text and must be returned 24-hours prior to the session
• Mask AND face-shield worn by the barber
• One-time use disposable aprons for clients to wear while getting their haircut
• Wireless Cutting tools to prevent the need for the barber to enter a residence
• Equipment is sterilized after every session
• Plus a digital card so his customers can SAFELY share his info

“When this pandemic hit Miami-Dade, I was concerned for both my peers and our families due to all the barbershops closing. Everywhere I turned people had ideas on what I should do to keep cutting hair, some were erroneous, illegal, not safe for me and my family or all three. I was stumped until I spoke to my business mentor Daniel Shalach and he and I came up with the COVID-19 Mobile Barber System. As a licensed barber, I immediately got my COVID-19 certification to continue to operate legally and we focused on CDC guidelines first, then on my customers safety and comfort and finally I took steps so I didn’t bring anything home to my mom and dad. Since this venture started, I have a waiting list to get cut, I work less days, less hours a day and make more than enough. I can say I am truly a blessed man.” Holguin Said.

Holguin has taken every step to not just survive this pandemic but thrive during it. He has a new logo, branded gifts for loyal clients and has been asked by other barbers to teach them how they can better serve the public and stay safe.
