Oklahoma City-based supplier of residential geothermal products ClimateMaster has announced the designation of its Trilogy 45 QE as ‘Energy Star Most Efficient 2021’.

The ‘Most Efficient’ designation from Energy Star represents the leading edge in energy efficient products, and the recent award confirms ClimateMaster’s position as an innovator in the field of residential geothermal systems.
Geothermal heat pumps (GHPs) take advantage of the constant temperature that exists below the surface of the earth. Ground source heat pumps are able to heat, cool, and generate hot water by transferring heat to or from the ground.
Geothermal heat pumps are highly efficient and can reduce energy bills by as much as 70%. Energy Star’s recent recognition of the Trilogy 45 QE makes the unit one of the most cost-effective GHP systems on the market today.
While other GHPs have high efficiency ratings for heating and cooling, only the Trilogy 45 QE includes Q-Mode technology, enabling year-round domestic hot water at 500% efficiency. This feature contributed to the system’s recent recognition by Energy Star.
In addition to its hot water production capabilities, the Trilogy 45 QE uses variable speed components, which match the system’s capacity to the heating and cooling loads throughout the day.
The variable speed technology within the Trilogy 45 QE means that it operates steadily at as low as 30% of its full capacity. This feature further improves the system’s efficiency, as well as reducing wear and tear on components and extending the unit’s life.
An optional ClimaZone system adds motorized dampers in ductwork as well as thermostats throughout the home to provide more even heating and cooling. This ensures that only those areas which require it will receive warm or cool air, adding more efficiency to the system as a whole.
With the ‘Most Efficient’ designation, the Trilogy 45 QE promises the lowest energy consumption, lowest utility costs, and least environmental impact of any system available.
A company representative stated: “Ranked as one of the most trusted HVAC brands in America, ClimateMaster was the only geothermal brand ranked with full-time water heating in all four operating modes. Our dedication to innovative and sustainable geothermal systems is only matched by our employees and their dedication to quality and service.”
