ACondor has announced the daily and weekly loss circuit breakers built into its automated options trading bot, designed to cap realized losses before they compound across a session or a full trading week.

Las Cruces, United States, October 13, 2026 /NewsNetwork/ -- When an automated options strategy hits a bad stretch, the damage often compounds before any manual intervention is possible. ACondor has outlined the daily and weekly circuit breakers embedded in its options trading bot, which halt new trade entries once realized losses cross a set threshold at the account level, either for the remainder of the session or the full trading week, depending on which limit fires first.

Loss management is a persistent challenge in options trading. A study by India's Securities and Exchange Board, the country's primary markets regulator, found that 89 percent of individual traders in the equity futures and options segment lost money in FY2022, with active traders recording average losses of approximately 1.25 lakh rupees over the same period. While that data reflects the Indian market specifically, researchers and industry analysts have documented similar patterns in other markets: without a defined ceiling on losses, a losing streak can erode an account faster than most traders anticipate. ACondor said its loss limits are built to address that risk directly in an automated context.
According to the company, a daily loss circuit breaker halts new trade entries for the rest of the session once realized losses reach $500 or 5 percent of net liquidating value, whichever threshold is hit first. A separate weekly circuit breaker halts new entries for the remainder of the week at $1,500 or 10 percent of net liquidating value. ACondor states that both limits are based on realized profit and loss from closed trades only, not on unrealized drawdown in positions still open.
ACondor said measuring against realized P&L rather than open drawdown is a deliberate choice, since a position that is temporarily down but still within its own risk parameters should not trigger an account-wide halt. Positions already open continue to be managed under their individual exit rules even after a daily or weekly limit is reached; the limits apply only to new trade entries, not to closing trades already in progress.
ACondor said these loss limits work alongside other account-level controls, including a per-trade risk cap of $700 by default and an allocation cap that limits total deployed capital to 10 percent of net liquidating value.

Seldom is the idiom to show up “with bells on toes” taken literally, but that is exactly what Moldavian-Austrian-Swiss violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja and Argentine cellist Sol Gabetta did at their recital at Hong Kong City Hall on November 2. Classical music boundaries have no place in the pair’s playbook, and their theatrical entrance for the last leg of their Asian tour – each from opposite sides of the stage, dressed in bold colours and wearing slip-ons with bell-lined toes – was a clear...
