Voices has published a new report on how creative professionals can productively yet ethically incorporate generative AI into their work.

London, Canada - July 19, 2023 /PressCable/ —
In the recently released report, Voices team members surveyed hundreds of creatives in various sectors to understand how these professionals perceive how AI will impact their work. They found that while many professionals are excited about the new opportunities AI offers, they are also concerned about the ethics of using it.

A June 2023 report by McKinsey and Company notes that generative AI has become increasingly competent at a wider range of routine tasks. However, the abilities most often reported in the media are its ability to perform creative tasks, such as writing text, composing music, and making art.
Voice’s survey results show that 57% of creatives already use AI in their work, but not generative AI. Although this type of AI can perform creative tasks, two-thirds of creatives surveyed don’t feel threatened by it and believe it will create new human job opportunities.
A major concern about the ethics of AI is using existing creative data to train algorithms. Voices suggests the “three C’s” (consent, credit, compensation) framework to guide AI training in the voice-over industry. According to this framework, voice-over artists should know their voice is being used in AI training and they should be credited and compensated for their work.

This year’s edition of A taste for skiing places the world of plants at the heart of the programme. Herbs, roots, vegetables, flowers, seeds and fruits provide inspiration for the participating chefs, who will interpret these ingredients creatively in dishes served at Alta Badia’s mountain huts. The theme also highlights the close relationship between nature and the changing seasons, elements that have always been deeply connected to the mountains and their culinary traditions.

Is bespoke jewellery a modern fashion statement? Are jewels designed and made exclusively for a wearer the ultimate expression of the individual? According to the Business of Fashion’s “Face to Face with Luxury Clients” report, “emotional connection is the number one driver of luxury brand desirability in both the US and China – above craftsmanship, heritage and logo recognition”. The results for the media platform’s latest report in its State of Fashion series come from a survey of more than...

I spent a week in Warsaw and ate more pierogi than I could shake a stick at. These beloved traditional Polish dumplings come filled with potatoes, cheese, meat, mushrooms and even fruit. Boiled or fried, they may look familiar to anyone acquainted with jiaozi, the Chinese dumpling, although their flavours are distinctly Polish. This is not to suggest that dumplings travelled directly from China to Poland. One theory posits that dumpling-like foods – from Nepalese momo and Central Asian and...
This year marks the 20th anniversary of Marie Antoinette, director Sofia Coppola’s third film. Starring Kirsten Dunst as the Queen of France and Jason Schwartzman as King Louis XVI, the film is still remembered for its performances, cool soundtrack and Oscar-winning costume design, not to mention the countless trays of Ladurée macarons and Manolo Blahnik heels that also played pivotal roles. The film’s enduring legacy lies in its ability to present historical narrative in a modern, vibrant way....
Recently, an acquaintance told me about her brother’s marriage break-up. “They had sex once in eight years,” she said – as if that were the sole reason. It would not have been: the couple’s collapsing relationship was the reason. The absence of sex – except for that single occasion in eight years – was a symptom that likely made it worse. It raises the question, though: is there a sweet spot for sex in a relationship? How many times a week or a month should we be “doing it” to keep a...
Buckingham Palace has forcefully denied a claim by the brother of the late Princess Diana that King Charles III said his ex-wife would soon be forgotten after her death. In a new book, Charles Spencer recounts the traumatic days after Diana was killed in a car crash in Paris in 1997 at the age of 36. He alleges that he argued with his sister’s former husband over palace plans for Prince William and Prince Harry, then aged 15 and 12, to walk behind her coffin during the funeral...

4/5 stars Lead cast: Son Ye-jin, Ji Chang-wook, Nana Les Liaisons Dangereuses (Dangerous Liaisons), an 18th century novel by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos, is an erotically charged tale of aristocrats indulging in illicit games of seduction that may not seem like an ideal fit for a Joseon-era Korean adaptation at first. The period’s patriarchal nature, however, makes it the perfect backdrop for The Scandal, Netflix’s glossy adaptation of the novel starring Son Ye-jin (No Other Choice), Ji...
