New York City, New York Mar 6, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - An Illinois-based ophthalmologist, Dr. Multack is the Founder of Multack Eye Care and Associates, tending to patients in the Olympia Fields, Frankfort, and Bourbonnais areas.

A full service, family orientated eye care practice, Multack Eye Care and Associates specializes in state-of-the-art cataract surgery with premium lens implantation, laser vision correction, LASIK, minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries, oculoplastics and retinal diseases, while being committed to only using the most advanced technology.

Treating all types of eye conditions, Dr. Multack has a special interest in cataract surgery, laser assisted cataract surgery, advanced technology intraocular lenses, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, and diabetes. He has performed over 8000 cataract surgeries and typically performs 20 cataract surgeries a week.

"I am fortunate to be able to do what I do on a daily basis, my passion is in my work, and I take pride in my reputation of excellence. I treat every patient as if they were my family, and strive to deliver the best care possible to every patient" expressed Dr. Multack.

In fact, he performed stitchless, patchless cataract surgery on his own mother, a retired nurse with high visual demands, demonstrating his confidence in his own abilities and his commitment to providing the highest quality care to his patients.

Originally from the Homewood-Flossmoor area, Dr. Multack attended Saint Xavier University on the south side of Chicago for his undergraduate work and earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Midwestern University, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Thereafter, he completed his internship at St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields, Illinois, where he was awarded "Intern of the Year Award", a prestigious award selected by the medical staff, after which he went on to complete his residency in ophthalmology at the said establishment where he served as Chief Resident.

As a testament of his continued education, the doctor is board-certified in ophthalmology by the American Osteopathic Boards of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery (AOBOO). The AOBOO is a joint organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DOs) who specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of the eye (ophthalmologists) and to qualified DOs who specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of the ears, nose, and throat (otolaryngologists).

Remaining up to date in his field, Dr. Multack is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Academy of Osteopathic Ophthalmologist Head and Neck Surgeons, the American Osteopathic Association, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.

In addition, he teaches ophthalmology to residents and medical students at Midwestern University and local hospitals, including Advocate South Suburban Hospital and Advocate Trinity Hospital.

Ophthalmology is a branch of medicine and surgery, which deals with the diagnosis and treatment of eye disorders. Ophthalmologists are experts in the diseases, functions, and anatomy of the eye. They may provide routine care such as vision testing, as well as prescribe and fit eyeglasses or contact lenses. However, ophthalmologists are also surgeons. They repair traumatic injuries to the eye and perform cataract, glaucoma, and corneal surgery.

Committed to advancing the field of ophthalmology, Dr. Multack has participated in numerous research projects at universities, including an advanced glaucoma clinical research trial. He has also authored several ophthalmology book chapters and published several articles in peer-reviewed journals.

His devotion to excellence in patient care is evident through his many accolades, including Patients Choice Awards, Most Compassionate Doctor Awards, and On-Time Doctor Awards.
