Simwood Announces Fusion of Wholesale and Hosted PBX Offerings to Give Large Partners Flexibility

BRISTOL, England, March 5, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- UK and US carrier Simwood today announced a unique to market solution enabling its wholesale customers to deploy branded hosted PBX, backed by wholesale economics and capabilities.
Simwood Wholesale provides the core minutes and numbering services underpinning 250+ Internet Telephony Service Providers globally. Many operate their own hosted PBX platform, or license technology from others whilst Simwood Wholesale underpins them by hosting number ranges, providing number portability as well as carrying calls in and out at a wholesale price point.
Simwood Partner provides a best of breed hosted PBX solution which can be white-labelled for the partner concerned, and enables them to create their own bundles etc. It is generally sold on a per-seat basis with monthly minute bundles. The company also today announced an industry leading app which solves many of the issues around apps (security, performance, battery life etc.) but can also be white-labelled for Partners.
It is now able to combine Simwood Partner with Simwood Wholesale. In other words, wholesale customers can now create hosted PBXs but have their own numbers available to it, and have all calls routed over Simwood on their wholesale account at wholesale prices.

Historically they could invest in a third party platform and add wholesale services to it. This is something of a forklift migration. This puts them at the same level in the food chain as the largest Channel providers who are themselves licensees of third party software.
