SOLE TT8 Decline Treadmill For Downhill Running & Eccentric Training Launched

Oct 23, 2026

SOLE Fitness has announced the TT8 treadmill, a dual-motor machine with -6 to 15 incline levels designed to simulate the demands of outdoor terrain, including descents, for runners training indoors.

Salt Lake City, United States, October 23, 2026 /PressCable/ -- SOLE Fitness has announced the TT8 treadmill, a commercial-grade machine priced at $2,899.99 that uses two separate motors to control both incline and decline, ranging from -6 to 15 levels. The 4.0 HP treadmill features a 22"x60" running deck with a 400 lb weight capacity and a 15.6" touchscreen, and is designed to let runners replicate outdoor terrain, including downhill grades, without leaving an indoor setting.

Downhill running places unusual demands on the body because it relies primarily on eccentric muscle work, in which muscles lengthen under load rather than shorten. Research published in the Journal of Applied Physiology has documented that this type of loading is associated with greater muscle damage and delayed fatigue compared to flat or uphill running. SOLE CEO Todd Udowitch said that this effect compounds over time, contributing to soreness and increased injury risk, particularly around the knees, when runners are not accustomed to regular descent work.

“By training exclusively on flat or incline settings, you neglect to prepare your body for the unique stresses of downhill running,” Udowitch said. “This can lead to muscle damage, excessive soreness, and increased injury risk, particularly to the knees.”

Udowitch also pointed to a pattern documented in exercise science research: prior exposure to downhill running may reduce the muscle-damage response in later sessions, a phenomenon sometimes referred to as the repeated-bout effect. SOLE Fitness says this makes regular, deliberate practice on decline grades physiologically meaningful for runners preparing for trail or road races with significant elevation loss.

The practical challenge, Udowitch said, is that many runners lack regular access to sustained downhill terrain. Flat neighborhoods, indoor facilities, and regions without significant elevation change all limit opportunities to practice decline running in a natural setting.

The TT8 addresses this gap with its dual-motor design, which independently controls incline and decline settings. “A treadmill with decline capability solves this problem by allowing you to train eccentrically in a controlled environment, building the strength and resilience your body needs for real-world terrain,” Udowitch said.

The TT8 runs at speeds up to 12 mph on a 22"x60" belt and includes a 15.6" touchscreen with Wi-Fi connectivity, built-in Bluetooth audio speakers, and wireless device charging. The treadmill does not require a monthly subscription to access its onboard programming.

Why do some celebrity perfumes – think Ariana Grande, Britney Spears – stay popular?

There is a particular kind of deja vu that comes from a stranger’s perfume, when a scent – sugary-sweet in a lift, soft and creamy on a person’s jumper, flowery from a hug – drifts past and you know it long before you can name it. Chances are, a few of them come with a celebrity’s name. Famous names have long sold perfumes, intentionally or not. When Marilyn Monroe said in 1952 that Chanel No 5 was all she wore to bed, she did more for that bottle than any advertisement could, despite never...
