Sonny Morin's perspective reflects his identity as a Chicano educator and his dedication to Spanish language and culture. Raised in a South Texas town, he earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from Texas State University and spent his career teaching Spanish in Central Texas. His travels extended the curiosity of his classroom into the world.
Since retiring in 2017, Morin has continued writing and is developing a second book about his years as a teacher and the students who shaped them.
