The Healy family announced its acquisition of the Superior Crane Corporation, one of the country's leading overhead material-handling equipment design, engineering, manufacturing, and service companies since its 1951 founding. Although Robert Healy was already an owner in the company, members of the Healy family joined forces to purchase the remaining shares from the Sharp Family of the prominent firm.
Now part of the Healy Manufacturing Group, Superior Crane Corporation features an industry-leading range of capabilities and products, making it one of the nation's top full-service overhead material-handling equipment specialists. The Healy family plans to lead the 68-year-old company to new levels of success, ensuring plenty of exciting future developments and opportunities for customers and employees, with updates to be posted on social media regularly.
Under the Healy family's stewardship, for instance, Superior Crane Corporation recently celebrated the start-to-finish fabrication of the first batch of kit cranes to be produced at its new focus factory. That newly opened facility will help Superior Crane Corporation serve its customers at an even higher level by allowing it to still more efficiently and responsively cater to consistently high demand for kit cranes. While doing this SCC in the process of building one of its largest finished weight cranes in the company's history.
Management has also worked on adding more incentives in building a stable workforce by adding a company match for the 401K program, investigating insurance programs that will work for the employees and families and starting the foundations in creating a SCC training school.
While SCC is working on continuous improvements throughout all areas, they still stick to what they do best which is quality and being a one-stop shop. In Machining, all parts that are needed to be machined are done in house including gear cutting for SCC's own gearboxes. The machining group also does replacement parts for other crane manufacturers, along with job-shop machining work for aerospace, nuclear, mining, hydraulic and bottling industry clients. Our Service and Parts departments will help any company with their upkeep of overhead materials by providing inspections, parts and components that need to be replaced or a repair team whenever your business is shut down due to your crane not working properly.
