A new beginning and new strategies with a fast-growing, independent fiduciary advisor
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - July 15, 2022 - PRLog -- Trajan Wealth, an Arizona-based Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) that collectively manages more than $1 billion dollars, is proud to announce the appointment of Matthew Coffina, CFA, as a portfolio manager starting July 1st, 2022. A fifteen-year veteran of the investment industry, Coffina most recently held the position of lead Portfolio Manager for Morningstar Investment Management's Hare strategy.
Coffina started his career at Morningstar in 2007 as an equity analyst, primarily covering healthcare services companies. Around this time, he also completed the CFA program, designed a new discounted cash flow model to be used by Morningstar's global team of analysts, and served on the committee that assigns Morningstar's Economic Moat ratings. At the beginning of 2013, Coffina became the editor of the Morningstar StockInvestor newsletter, which included managing Morningstar's Tortoise and Hare portfolios. In mid-2016, he transitioned to Morningstar Investment Management to focus on managing the Hare strategy full-time. Altogether, Coffina managed the Hare strategy for 9.5 years. Coffina stated, "I'll be forever grateful to Morningstar for giving me these opportunities. Investment management is not an easy business to break into, and I doubt my career would have progressed so quickly anywhere else."
Coffina will be managing Trajan's new Expanding Moat and Defensive Moat strategies. These concentrated investment portfolios will focus on companies with strong and improving competitive advantages, above-average revenue and earnings growth, and reasonable valuations. They will be available to retail clients through Trajan's advisors, as well as third-party advisors and institutions. The portfolios are also available with a fixed income component. Coffina said, "It felt like time for a new challenge. I've gotten to know Trajan over the past several years, and I've been so impressed by their team of knowledgeable and caring advisors dedicated to helping clients meet their financial goals."

For more than 20 years, Michel Reybier Hospitality has been rethinking luxury. Far from showiness and ostentation, its approach rests on three values: excellence, authenticity and simplicity. Across its portfolio, from city addresses in Paris, Geneva and Zurich to grand hotels in the Swiss Alps, villas on the French Riviera and private homes in the Indian Ocean, each address is shaped by its destination, with quality always taking precedence over quantity and service tailored to each guest. Its idea of luxury is personal, built on a profound respect for privacy and intimacy and on the discreet, attentive presence of its teams. Each destination keeps its own identity while sharing the same values.

After artist Oscar Chan Yik-long left Hong Kong for Europe – first to Paris, then Helsinki – in 2019, he did not return to the city for many years. Widely considered one of Hong Kong’s most promising young talents, Chan even missed his 2021 solo exhibition – a display of the gothic, monochrome works he is best known for – at Gallery Exit in Aberdeen, Hong Kong, because he could not bring himself to board a long-haul flight. What kept him away was fear. At the time, Chan was suffering from severe...
China’s beauty brands are stepping into the global market, armed with intricately carved lipsticks, freeze-dried face masks activated with purified water, and creams infused with traditional Chinese medicine ingredients. The recent American midterm elections offered yet another glimpse into a political culture increasingly defined by division and hostility. In the state of Ohio, Republican gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy ran an attack advertisement against his Democratic rival, Amy Acton, exploiting painful details of her childhood. President Donald Trump publicly defended the advertisement. The episode was emblematic of a country where political conflict has come to reflect something far more profound...
Some time in the last decade the bathroom shelf turned into a filing system. A cleanser for the morning and a different one for the evening; an acid on Tuesday, a retinol on Wednesday – and a barrier cream for the two nights afterwards, while your face recovers from the first two. But at some point, people started getting tired. Not of skincare exactly, but more of the admin: the cross-referencing, the percentages; the low-grade sense that there’s a step you’ve missed and a launch you haven’t...
For 42-year-old Allison Vecchio, GLP-1 drugs were “a reset button on life”, but came at a price – with side effects like gastrointestinal distress, brittle nails and feelings of weakness so intense that at times she could not leave her bed. But Vecchio, an emergency room nurse based in Fort Pierce, in the US state of Florida, says the symptoms eased when she began a cocktail of supplements that included fibre, collagen and electrolytes, a haul that costs US$200 to US$300 a month. “You really...
