WINE, WOMEN & FILM FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES
2023 SPONSORED LIVE EVENT PERFORMER: REBECCA FOLSOM
Official Event Date: September 23, 2023
Official Event Venue: Childress Vineyards
Venue Address: 1000 Childress Vineyards Rd., Lexington, NC 27295
The Wine, Women & Film Festival, a live event with a focus on supporting women in the wine and film industries, is thrilled to announce that Rebecca Folsom, renowned performer and musician, will be performing a solo acoustic set during the event's prelude to the Awards Dinner from 4:30-5PM on Saturday, September 23, 2022.
Rebecca will be performing selections from her most recent album Sanctuary, for which she brought together a team of the highest caliber in the production of Sanctuary, each harmoniously sharing talent, aliveness, and love. Album producer Tom Wasinger, a three-time Grammy winner, deepened the intimacy, added a grass roots foundation, and entrained a magical resonance from a wizard's chamber of instruments from all over the world. Six-time Grammy winner, Shaun Martin, co-produced the title track. Grammy nominees Sally Barris and Mark Oblinger lent their voices and songwriting prowess. Nick Forster and James Tuttle of eTown brought their big hearts and production talents. The band members that have had Rebecca's back for more than 20 years were once again reliable pillars in the production. The involvement of many resulted in the sonically-rich, deeply touching gem of Sanctuary.
Rebecca has played on BBC television/radio for an audience of 1.5 million, Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado, The Bluebird and Opryland in Nashville, TN, and numerous festivals nationwide. The song Sanctuary was a semi-finalist in the "2021 International Songwriting Competition." Her album Extraordinary Days debuted with the song Better Times hitting Number 1 on the National Folk Radio DJ Chart and spending five months on the Top 50 National Americana Country Radio Chart. In addition to her 11 released albums and vibrant coaching career, Rebecca has written and published two books of poetry and created numerous paintings of fine art.
"Rebecca Folsom's live performance, courtesy of the sponsorship of the Instrumental Women Project and MADCatfish Media, LLC, underscores the importance and value of our mission to showcase supporting women in wine, film and the arts," Wendy Watts, the festival's Event Director and Co-Creator stated.
"We are so happy that attendees will be able to enjoy Rebecca's talented acoustic solo set while settling into the Victory Lounge for the Awards Dinner & Ceremony," said event Co-Creator Janet Hart.
Only ticketed attendees will be permitted access to the event space and activities. Event tickets are $200 per person, and ticket sales are now open to the public on TicketLeap: Live Event Summary of Details:
